Believing in Yourself

I often hear how people wait for others before they can accomplish something. We should never wait for someone else to fulfill who we are meant to be. We should not search for our "soul mate" and forget to live for ourselves. I am guilty of once limiting myself to doing things because I did not want to "do things alone" and I wanted the company of someone else because I mean we all love experiencing things with others. However we must also feel comfortable enough to explore the world alone because we all have different goals and will all want to take different paths and explore different roads.

We can not sit and wait for someone to love us the way we should be loved. Spoil yourself daily no one will love or invest as much time into YOU as YOU can. I always waited and never really ventured out to do things alone. Whom was I waiting for if everyone I knew was doing something different than I wanted to do. We are all on different levels and on different paths. The timing is never going t be right, and the problems never fade away. The time to do it is now. Over thinking will not help. Quitting will set you back. So simply take the leap and just get it done. Don't worry about the end just start and keep going.

I don't have any cheering me on. I did not have a support system. Sick days don't exist when you're a single mom. I had many bad days and a few good days. I went from thinking I had it all under control to losing it all and having nothing. I started from the bottom, settled in the middle, and I will forever strive to get to the top. We will fall 100 times and we can stay down 100 times or get up and push for another day because we will never be defeated. Someone somewhere is having a worse day. Be blessed for the breath, vision, hearing, and ability that you do have today. Being miserable allows us to obtain negative company. Smile and let in those positive healthy vibes.
Smile while you still have teeth.

I lost my brother in 2010 and in 2011 I signed up and stared my journey as a College Student for a 2nd time. This time I knew that I was not giving up and I did not care how long it took me but I was going to make it. Here we are in 2016 and I can say that I MADE IT. I DID IT. I BEAT THE ODDS. I supported myself. I encouraged myself. I stood up all those nights to meet deadlines for myself. I pushed myself to the finish line. I did not wait for anyone to help me. I got it done. I could have made a million excuses and I could have quit when the tough moments socked me in the face and left me on my knees crying. These moments created me into the being I am today so how can I not say I will not embrace those heartaches.

Don't put your dreams on hold because of doubt, comfort zones are where dreams go to die.

In 2013 I decided to start my weight-loss journey. I believed that I could do it but I did not believe that my body could attain such high levels of success. I did not sit and wait for a Gym partner, I did not have a plan, I did not have a personal trainer, or a fancy meal plan. I went in head first and I just started off slow and moved my way on up. I lost myself throughout the process and let the noise take over. Compete with no one but yourself. Worry about yourself and do not worry about the greener grass on the other side it's probably only greener because its artificial. Worry about your own grass!

I must say that nothing feels better than being able to achieve things that others said you will never be able to do or things that others felt they could never do. We can all take the easy way or we can work our butt off and take the stairs because there will never be a elevator to success. Power up those legs and push to the end because no one will enjoy the finish line as much as you will. Letting yourself down should never be an option. Put your blinders on, insert your favorite motivational music, and demolish those goals. We all have the same 24 hours to work with; utilizing them is up to you.

I can go around and brag about being a single mom and being the first one in my family to Graduate College while also maintaining a healthy lifestyle and losing 100 pounds. However silence speaks in volumes. Rejoice for yourself not because you want to broadcast it for the "likes." Toot your own horn. Buy your own flowers if you want some. Take yourself out to dinner if your hungry. Remember at the end of the day the only person you have is yourself; no one else will endure the tears and rough seas that you swam through to get to the end. If you do not believe in yourself who will? Do it for yourself because you can and because you are not afraid to eat alone.

Love Yourself. Take Care of Yourself. Rest up daily. Hydrate your soul & skin. Relax your mind & spirit. stay humble and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

Believe. Achieve. Succeed.
